This book cover was a new product “Mermaid” launch project by Takeo, Japan’s largest paper manufacturer. The product, “Mermaid,” is a paper with ripple textures, therefore, we created a design to tell a story of a mermaid delivering seashells through rippling waves. There are four types of paper, each with an image of blue-green sea where mermaids live, the azure sky, the summer sun, and sandy beaches. The goal was to create a book that makes people want to take a summer vacation.
